Tranzport Products began years ago as Tranzport Hoods with Tranzport Hoods being our first product. John Cominsky is our founder and the inventor of The Tranzport Hood, the first patented hood used for spit protection by the law enforcement community. Due to the usefulness, uniqueness, and simplicity of The Tranzport Hood, it quickly obtained nationwide approval and acceptance, receiving numerous articles. (ex. Demand for The Hood grew as did Cominsky's desire to expand his line of blood and body fluid containment products.  Noticing the huge need for spit and disease protection, and realizing the quality of the product, Hoods were soon being assisted to the law enforcement market's attention by The Office of Law Enforcement Technology Commercialization (OLETC), a division of The Justice Department , (NLETC, Products Database;) OLETC introduced Cominsky to Armor Holdings, Inc., one of the leading corporations dedicated to offering  top of the line law enforcement products and a leader in global security.

Tranzport Hoods were soon licensed to NIK Public Safety, a division of Armor Holdings, a company large enough to manufacture and market the Hoods worldwide, while giving Cominsky the freedom to focus on the upcoming products. Tranzport Products was born and remained a distributor of Tranzport Hoods as well as NIK's other products including drug detection kits, flex-cuffs, and evidence collection kits. BANDITTStm have since been completed and are available in various sizes as a first response wound covering used primarily for blood containment.
